156th Annual Meeting
Thursday, June 25, 6-8 pm, online
Please join us for the 156th Annual Meeting, and 1st Virtual Meeting, of the Cincinnati Yale Club, Thursday, June 25, 6-8 pm. We will quickly review the year and then hear a live discussion from Professor Valerie Hansen, Stanley Woodward Professor of History at Yale and author of the recent book, "The Year 1000: When Explorers Connected the World—and Globalization Began," featured on NPR and hailed as "a groundbreaking work of history" (Simon & Schuster) and a "highly impressive, deeply researched, lively and imaginative work" by the NY Times Book Review. A question-and-answer session will follow, to be moderated by our Yale Alumni Association liasons, Diane Morrissey and Mindy Marks '00. The meeting will be hosted from the Yale server.
Registration for the meeting is complimentary this year, since we need to ask you to bring your own food and beverage, but we do rely on contributions at dues level ($50) and sponsorship level ($100, $200, and as high as you'd like to go) at the time of our Annual Meeting to finance our ongoing activities, such as recruitment events for Yale applicants, receptions for the newly admitted and current students, and general overhead. The Cincinnati Yale Club is now a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization, so all of your donations are tax deductible. Funding received in excess of our costs is collected in a scholarship fund to support high school students interested in attending Yale summer programs, especially the Yale Young Global Scholars program.
